As we enter the month of June, it is certainly one of the best times of the year for children and youths in Singapore but – probably the ‘worst’ for parents. You might be having a headache over where to bring your children to, without going overseas.

 #1 Snoopy-Themed Snow Attraction @ Changi Airport T3 (S$5-S$18)

Christmas comes early at Changi Airport T3 as you get to enjoy a myriad of snoopy-themed snow activities inside the double-storey PEANUTS Snow Hangout. Let your children experience real snow and have fun sliding down the 10-metres luge slide. Capture fun moments as a family by posing with Charlie Brown made of ice and Snoopy lying on his doghouse made of snow.

You can directly purchase a PEANUTS Snow Hangout Pass at S$18 via iChangi app, or make a minimum purchase of S$30 in a single receipt (S$50 for supermarket) at participating outlets to purchase the pass at a discounted price of S$5. #2 Let’s Play @ D’Marquee @ Downtown (S$25-S$28)

More than the usual inflatable bouncy playground, Let’s Play @ D’Marquee features 14 exciting attractions that include a Virtual Reality (VR) shooting game, King Kong Robots, Dinosaur Ride, a series of eight obstacle castles and sand pit challenges.

From now till 26 June 2022, enjoy a fun-packed day out with your family at one of the coolest and biggest indoor playgrounds.

Tickets are priced at $25 (Weekdays) and $28 (Weekends, School/Public Holidays and Eve of Public Holidays), with an additional S$3 booking fee. #3 World of Nickelodeon @ Marina Square L3 (S$32-S$36)

Good news even if you and your children are not Disney fans, because ‘The World of Nickelodeon’ has come to Singapore with other all-time children favourites like SpongeBob SquarePants, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Dora the Explorer.

From going on a Jellyfish Hunt and the Adventure Bay Fire Rescue, to taking on The Ninja Vertical Challenge and bouncing at the Jungle Jump-a-thon, this first-ever Nickelodeon-themed entertainment centre is packed with immersive games for your entire family. In between the games, you can also take a break at the confortable Slime Lounge.

From now till 19 June 2022, your children can play to their hearts’ content and meet their favourite Nickelodeon characters. Tickets are priced at S$32 (Monday to Thursday) and S$36 (Friday to Sunday), booking is done online via SISTIC. 10% discount is extended to PAssion Card members, DBS Card members, NTUC members and bundle purchase of 4 tickets. #4 Disney in Concert @ Marina Bay Sands (S$78-S$158)

Disney in Concert, A Dream Is A Wish, will be premiering at Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, with four live performances scheduled on 18 and 19 June 2022. If you are a fan of Disney classics like Lion King, Toy Story, The Cinderella and Frozen, then you cannot miss this two-hour magical ensemble performance. This is a chance to immerse you in the world of Disney animations and relive your fond childhood memories with your children.

There are two showtimes, 3.30pm and 8pm, on each day and tickets are priced between S$78 to S$158. Booking can be done online via the MBS website.

#5 Line Friends’ BT21 @ Jewel Changi T1 ($160-S$360)

Instead of hopping onto a plane at the Changi Airport, make a visit to Jewel Changi where you will be greeted by a 4.5m-tall inflatable BT21 character display. Seated on a light-interactive floor, the BT21 character changes colours when visitors step on the floor and provides a captivating sight for the children. First to launch in Southeast Asia, this exhibition is ongoing from now till 17 July 2022.

In addition, your children have the chance to experience the first ever BT21-themed ‘Glampcation in the Clouds’ with their favourite characters from now till 26 June 2022. Each BT21-themed tent accommodates up to four guests and provides many instagrammable moments.

#6 Meet The Minions @ Universal Studios Singapore (S$88-S$98)

Besides anticipating illumination’s latest movie, Minions 2: The Rise of Gru coming to cinema this June, you now have a chance to meet and greet your favourite minions, Kevin, Stuart and Bob alongside new member Otto at Universal Studios Singapore.

#7 Army Open House 2022 (Free Of Charge)

After a five-year hiatus, the Army Open House (AOH) 2022 is finally returning. The main exhibition will take place at the F1 Pit Building from 28 to 30 May, Punggol from 3 to 5 June, and Bishan from 10 to 12 June.

Among the lineup of activities, the crowd’s favourite, Red Lions will return and conduct a free-fall jump from 5,000 ft as part of the “Our Army Showcase” segment from 28 to 30 May at 10am.

If you visit the open house at night, you can catch the daily 7pm night show featuring a pyrotechnics display, a military tattoo, and performances by So Drama! Entertainment.

There are also physical tryouts available for visitors, including a first-hand shooting experience with Singapore’s SAR 21 rifle at the “Be A Marksman” firing range, five-on-five laser tag combat at the “Battlefield” arena and the Soldier Strong Obstacle Course with 11 stations. You can also visit the interactive showcase with Augmented-Reality elements and hands-on activities and get up close with SAF uniformed personnel for an informal chat.
